Project Description:

Gilbane Building Company has been awarded a ground up construction project of an approximately 20,000 SF, Single-Story Crisis Diversion Facility in Hillsborough, NC on a 5-Acre Site. The building consists of Patient Rooms, Observation Rooms, Offices, Conference Rooms, Exam Rooms, Break Rooms, Warming Kitchen, Multipurpose and Group Activity Spaces, Intake and Triage Areas, Consult/Sensory Rooms and Back of House Spaces. Construction consists of a Steel Frame with Concrete Foundations, Flat Roof Membrane, and an Exterior Envelope with Fiber Cement Panels, Stacked Stone Veneer, and Aluminum Storefront Systems. This project is scheduled to break ground in June of 2026 and is currently forecasted to include 4 Months of Sitework and 12 Months for the Building.

Public Prequal Period: Open Through Friday February 27, 2026 @ 5:00 PM (Extended to March 13th)

Approved 1st Tier Contractors Publicized: April 8th, 2026

Invitations to Bid Sent Out: April 3, 2026

Bids Due: May 6, 2026 at 1pm Eastern Time 

Bid Delivery and Opening Location: 300 W Tryon St, Hillsborough, NC 27278. The bid opening will be held at this location on 5/6/2026 in the Main Conference Room near the Main Entrance starting at 1:00pm

The following Bid Packages did not receive the minimum of 3 bidders on the 5/6/26 bid due date, therefore, these packages will be re-bid.

New Bid Due Date: 5/14/2026 at 1PM 

Bid Location: 300 W Tryon St, Hillsborough, NC 27278. The bid opening will be held at this location in the BOCC Meeting Room, which can be accessed by taking the exterior stairs to the second floor.

Bids can be delivered or mailed early to the Gilbane Raleigh Office at 150 Fayetteville St, Suite 1100, Raleigh, NC 27601. Bids must be received here by no later than 10AM on 5/14/2026. 

Bids can also be hand delivered to the 300 W Tryon St, Hillsborough, NC 27278 location by no later than 5/14/26 at 1PM.
